What does Hamas have against Israel?

Contrary to the common belief today, the issue of Hamas attacking Israel is not about land; it is about eliminating the followers of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. There has always been a false belief that by killing God’s people, you will kill God. That belief does not consider that He has always existed, even before people.

We see an example of an attempt to destroy God’s people, shown in the book of Exodus. The pharaoh made a decree that the Egyptian midwives were to kill all the males born to the Hebrew wives. Contrary to the pharaoh’s ruling, a newborn Hebrew boy named Moses was not killed by the midwives. Allowing Moses to live supported the continuation of God’s people and their return to the land He promised them.

An attempt to destroy God’s people was also shown again in the account of the birth of Yeshua. Herod, hoping to destroy the promised Messiah, sent soldiers to Bethlehem and its surrounding area to kill all the boys two years old and younger.

Again, as shown in the Crusades, the Spanish inquisitions, and the pogroms of Russia and Eastern Europe, there was an attempt made to eliminate God’s representatives.

More recently, Adolph Hitler, in Germany, killed millions of people to eliminate groups of people.

Now today, there continues to be an attempt to destroy God’s people by the radical group called Hamas and their decree to kill all of God’s representatives. Unless the Hamas threat is eradicated, the killing will continue. The massacre will even increase when the Hamas attacks include the Christian followers of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

It is not about gaining land! It is about eliminating God’s followers.
