These are some of the verses in scripture that tell us that one day, we will stand before the LORD and give an accounting for our actions.
Matthew 12:36 But I tell you that on the Day of Judgment, men will give account for every careless word they speak. Romans 14:12 So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God. 1 Peter 4:5 But they will have to give an account to the One who stands ready to judge the living and the dead.
When we come to that day when we will give an account, the only pronoun that we will be able to use as we stand before Him is the pronoun I. “I did this,” or “I said that.”
There will be no “You don’t understand what he did.” There will be no “she made me do it.” There will be no he, she, they, or people names. It will be just “I” about my actions, words, and thoughts.
